We bring honest lessons about xenophobia into San Diego classrooms, and we pair volunteers with neighbors who want to practice speaking English. Both are free.
Most young people meet difference long before anyone helps them make sense of it — a new classmate, a language they don't recognize, a joke that isn't really a joke. Fear of outsiders grows in that gap, and it stays there quietly for years. We work in the gap. In schools, we give students the words for what they've already noticed. In workplaces and community rooms, we sit down with adults who want to practice English with someone who is glad to listen. Both halves of the work end in the same place: a stranger becomes a person you know.
We visit elementary, middle, and high school classrooms with lessons on where fear of outsiders comes from and what it costs a community. Students talk, ask questions, and leave with language for what they've seen. Teachers choose the grade level and the length; we bring everything else.

We match each person with a trained volunteer for regular, friendly conversation — at a workplace, a library, or a community room. It's free, there's no test, and nobody is asked to prove anything.
How practice sessions workA school books a classroom visit, or a business offers a room and a regular hour. We handle the planning either way.
We pair each learner with a volunteer conversation partner, and each classroom with student presenters who have been through our training.
Sessions begin. We check in after the first month, and we change a match if it isn't working for either person.

Pick a grade band and a length. We send a plan you can read in five minutes, arrive prepared, and leave you with a discussion guide for the following week.
